The Most Delicious Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookie Recipe
Ingredients
-1/2 tsp salt
-1/2 cup sugar
-1 ¼ cup brown sugar packed
-1 tsp vanilla extract
-2 eggs
-1 cup softened butter
-2 tbsp milk
-1 tsp baking soda
-1 ¾ cups of all-purpose flour
-2 ½ cups of rolled oats
-1 cup of chopped walnuts (optional)
-2 cups of chocolate chips, semisweet (you can also use milk chocolate, raisins, or m&m's)
Putting it all together
Preheat your oven to 375 degrees. Cream the sugars and margarine together until creamy and add in the baking soda, salt and flour, mixing thoroughly. Next add in the oats, nuts and chocolate chips and drop by the spoonful onto an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake for about 10 minutes and cool.
Diabetes Friendly Cookies
Ingredients
-½ tsp of baking soda
-1 egg
-1/3 cup of softened margarine
-½ cup of brown sugar packed
-3 tsp vanilla extract
-¼ tsp of salt
-¾ cup of all-purpose flour
-1/3 cup of chocolate chips, semi sweet
-¾ cup of rolled oats, quick-cooking kind
-Vegetable cooking spray
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 375°F. Use an electric mixer to beat the margarine until it is light and fluffy. Add in the brown sugar gradually, mixing well. Next add in the vanilla and the egg, again mixing thoroughly. Mix together the salt, flour and baking soda and then add in the chocolate chips and oats. Next add in the dry ingredients to the margarine mixture, combining thoroughly. Spray the cookie sheet with the vegetable cooking spray and drop a teaspoon full of the dough onto the cookie sheet. Repeat this steop about every 2 inches. Bake approximately 10 minutes or until a golden brown. This will make about 3 dozen cookies which will keep well in an air tight container.
Easy No Bake Cookies (simple for kids to make)
Ingredients
-½ cup of butter, softened
-2 cups of granulated sugar
-4 tablespoons of cocoa
-½ cup of milk
-½ cup of peanut butter, creamy or chunky
-2 tsp vanilla extract
-3 ½ cups quick cooking oats
Directions
Put the first 4 ingredients into a sauce pan and bring to a boil and remove from heat. Add in the next 3 ingredients and drop by the spoonful onto a wax paper, letting cool until set.
